FAQ
-
What is the cost of the program?
For just $249 (USD) you get access to all 20 lessons over 4 weeks as well as personalized feedback on a speaking and written assignment at the beginning and end of the course. The first 5 students to register also get a bonus 30-minute video call with Fey to discuss your goals and challenges and get a strategic plan of study based on your personal needs.
-
When can I start the course?
The lessons for the first week of the course will be available on October 2nd which is when the introductory live lesson also takes place. You can get started with all of the content for week 1 as soon as the live lesson is done. A new theme week becomes available every Saturday for the following 4 weeks.
-
Is there a schedule for the classes or can I do it in my own time?
The lessons are all pre-recorded and you can do them whenever you want. However, there will be a live lesson every Saturday for the first 4 weeks of the course. These live lessons will include a review of the week’s 5 lessons, the opportunity for students to ask questions and also some conversation practice in small groups. You don’t have to attend these live lessons but I definitely recommend you do. These live sessions will also be recorded for you to watch later if you miss them or if you would like to review.
-
How long is the course?
The course is designed to last 4 weeks if you choose to do it following the suggested pace described above. You can also decide to do the lessons at your own pace and take longer to complete. Each theme week includes 5 lessons (3 lessons on practical phrases and expressions + 1 vocabulary lesson + 1 grammar lesson). Each lesson takes around 1 hour to be completed and this includes watching the videos, completing the practice exercises and participating in written discussions. I recommend doing one lesson a day throughout the week before joining the live review lesson on Saturday. The last live lesson is on October 30th. Remember that all the content will be available for you to access as many times as you want once the course is officially finished for a period of 2 years.
-
How are you going to give one-to-one feedback on my writing and speaking?
At the start of the course, you will be given one topic to write about and another topic to record yourself talking about. You will have one week to send these to me. I will then record myself giving you feedback on both and send that to you so you can see what you can work on during the 4 weeks. At the end of the course you will be asked to do a writing and speaking task again and I will let you know what you have improved and what you should keep working on.
-
How can I keep practicing after the course ends? I don’t have anyone to speak to.
As part of the course, you will be added to an exclusive telegram group with all the other students taking the course. This is going to be a way for you to get to know other learners who you can keep practicing with.
-
What if I can't join the weekly live lessons?
The review portion of the weekly live lessons will be recorded for you to watch later on the course website.
